On April 12, 2025, Zepp Kuala Lumpur transformed into a sea of voices, memories, and music as K-pop star Yesung returned to Malaysia for his first solo concert on our shores. Part of his “It’s Complicated” Asia tour, the night was a celebration of more than just music — it was a gathering of stories.

For Vicky, 26, Yesung’s voice has been a companion for over 13 years — a relationship that began back in her secondary school days.

Her favorite song, “Pink Magic,” captures the light, joyful vibe that first drew her in. Yet it wasn’t just the setlist that made the night special.

“The most memorable moment?” she laughs, “It was during the fan service time. He started splashing water during the End Call rehearsal — we didn’t expect that at all!”

As the concert ended, Vicky had only one message for Yesung: “I wish he will come to Malaysia again. Or, if I get a chance, I will go to Korea to see him.”

Would she see him again? “Definitely,” she says, without hesitation. “Either he comes here, or we go there. Definitely.”

And her advice to others thinking about attending a Yesung show? “Please watch it again, again and again.”

Sin, 29, traveled from the south of Thailand just for the concert — but her journey with Yesung started much earlier.

“I’ve been a fan since I was 15,” she shares. “Back then, I was a crazy K-pop girl, and Yesung stood out to me — he looked so cute, so outstanding.”

For Sin, the concert was not just a night out but a time machine. “Listening to his music reminds me of my youth. It makes me feel young again. And he still looks so young too!”

Her favorite song, “It Has to Be You,” holds a special place in her heart. “It’s his first solo song — and it’s so famous. His voice is amazing. It brings back so many memories.”

When asked what made this concert special, Sin smiled: “His songs are exactly my type. The old style, the ballads — they match my heart.”

Yesung’s setlist that night was built around tracks from his latest mini album, “It’s Complicated,” including fan favorites like “Beautiful Paradox,” “Easy,” and “Curtain.”

But for many in the crowd, it wasn’t just about hearing new songs — it was about reconnecting with a voice that had stayed with them across years, borders, and stages of life.

As the lights dimmed and the final notes hung in the air, it was clear: for fans like Vicky and Sin, this night wasn’t just a concert. It was a homecoming.

And Yesung? They’ll be waiting — whether here in Malaysia, or wherever his music leads next.
