The award-winning Malaysian musical The Working Dead is making a much-anticipated return from November 8-10, 2024, at Stage 1, PJPAC, One Utama. First staged in 2019, this dark comedy explores the pressures of modern work culture with a unique twist—Edwin, a hardworking office worker, dies on the job, only to be brought back to life by his boss to finish his tasks. Featuring catchy songs and touching moments, the musical resonates with anyone who has felt the grind of a “dead-end” job.

Presented by KuLT Productions PLT, this production features a stellar cast, including returning performers Brian Cheong and Colin Kirton. The original music, composed by Lydia Tong and Kelvin Loh, will be performed live by a five-piece band.

More than just entertainment, this year’s run of The Working Dead supports a worthy cause. Part of the proceeds will benefit the Dignity Foundation, an NGO that provides education to marginalized children in Kuala Lumpur. Several youths from the foundation will also be part of the production, gaining hands-on experience in performing arts and stagecraft.

Come for the laughs and songs, and leave with a deeper reflection on what truly matters in life. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience a heartwarming and humorous take on work-life balance.
