Open to all university students and fresh graduates in any field.

Period: A minimum of three months, with meetings once a month and at least 2 outings a month to be considered to have completed the programme.

Duties:
Handling Stories portfolios

Interns are to produce stories once they are ready.

Uploading stories on Facebook and Instagram

1) Transcribe, edit and write stories given by the Person-In-Charge.
2) Accompany Master Storytellers on photohunts/interview/video interviews and assignments with clients.
3) Learning and helping with video work.
4) Assist admin work when needed.
5) Assist in organizing upcoming workshop and events (Exhibitions).

Capstone Project:

For the final month of the internship, the Intern shall engage in a project of their own, with a minimum of 10 photo stories to be submitted. The project’s theme and the topic is to be proposed by the intern and vetted by HOKL’s team. The intern will present the photography and journalistic work of their project to the committee, and upon completion and publishing of the stories of the intern, the Intern has passed their internship and if exceptional, will be considered to be part of the Core Team and recognized as a Junior Storyteller. A certificate of completion will be given.

What you will do:

1) You will be required to travel around Kuala Lumpur to interview Malaysians of various backgrounds
2)Transcribing audio files (and backlogged audio files)
3) Editing transcribings
4) Uploading it onto our social media

Requirements:

Strong skillset in Editing and Transcribing.

Comfortable with meeting new people.

Photography and photo editing skills are a plus!

Background in English, Journalism or Mass Communications will be given a higher priority.
